Are You Ready To Perform In StorySLAM: Statute Of Limitations?

The city of Las Vegas StorySLAM "Statute of Limitations" seeks storytellers who can weave captivating narratives about their experiences of missed opportunities, unresolved conflicts and the ticking clock of life's deadlines. What happens when time runs out? From secrets buried too long to chances that slipped away, this night will explore the moments when time isn't on your side-or the unexpected relief that comes with its passage. Are you ready to tell your true personal, hilarious or exhilarating tale of urgency, expiration and reckoning with the boundaries of time in a 10-minute story?
If you are ready to share your tale at StorySLAM "Statute of Limitations" and wish to be considered as a storyteller for the Feb. 21, 2026, StorySLAM performance, submit a one- or two-sentence description of your story by email to [email protected] no later than Jan. 23, 2026. All levels of experience are invited to apply.
Selected storytellers will have the opportunity to enhance their storytelling skills, refine their narrative and connect with fellow storytellers through three free workshops led by teaching artist and emcee Dayvid Figler. These workshops will be held on the three Wednesdays leading up to the event ― Feb. 4, 11 and 18 ― from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Charleston Heights Arts Center, located at 800 Brush St.
Everyone is invited to enjoy the 7 p.m. performance Feb. 21 at the arts center, where every bold experience will be appreciated and every story worth telling. Storytellers will have you laughing and empathizing with the challenges of living with time running out. General admission tickets are available now for the single 7 p.m. performance Saturday, Feb. 21, at Charleston Heights Arts Center. Priced at pay what you wish, from $1 to $20 ($5 suggested), tickets may be purchased at the center or online now at https://vivenu.com/event/storyslam-statute-of-limitations-3xcvh0. Event day ticket sales will be available at the box office until sold out. Performance material may be unsuitable for children under 13; parental guidance is suggested.
Charleston Heights Arts Center presents a wide diversity of programs and classes, including Rainbow Company Youth Theatre acting classes and camps, classes for group dance, visual arts, drama and private music and voice lessons. Current center hours are 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday-Thursday, 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Friday-Saturday (or until an event ends), closed Sundays.
