Klobuchar Statement on Sentencing in Attack Targeting Minnesota Lawmakers

MINNEAPOLIS - U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) released the following statement on the sentencing in the attack targeting Minnesota lawmakers.

"The murderer of Melissa and Mark Hortman was sentenced today to prison for the rest of his life. We're grateful that John and Yvette Hoffman-who courageously survived multiple gun shot wounds-are still with us and our hearts are with Colin and Sophie Hortman and everyone whose lives were forever changed by this tragedy.

Nothing can undo the pain as heard in the victims' statements today. Yet Melissa and Mark's legacy of service, kindness, and always showing up for others will be forever with us."
