WHO: The National Association of State Departments of Agriculture 2024-2025 President will lead a hybrid press conference to share about goals for his upcoming term. NASDA CEO Ted McKinney and NASDA Senior Director of Public Policy RJ Karney will also be available. The conference will follow the conclusion of the 2024 NASDA Annual Meeting.

WHERE: Both virtual and in-person registered press will be able to participate. The NASDA Annual Meeting is being held in Indianapolis, Sept. 22-25 at the Westin Indianapolis.

For virtual attendees, tune in to the concluding plenary session on Wednesday. The press briefing will start directly after the business meeting adjourns during the session.

WHAT: NASDA members will elect new leadership and discuss emerging or outstanding policy issues at 10 a.m. on Wed, Sept. 25 during the NASDA business meeting. Registration to attend is free for all members of the press.

To better serve our members and provide ample time for thorough policy development, NASDA has transitioned to voting on new policy once a year at the Winter Policy Conference. This change allows NASDA members to engage in more in-depth discussions, collaborate effectively and build upon policies throughout the year. Members will only vote on policies on emerging or outstanding issues as needed.

The 2024 NASDA Annual Meeting is themed "Cultivating Common Ground." The meeting theme will guide NASDA's panels, speakers and policy conversations on agricultural and food issues.
