Georganna Moore Joins FirstHealth Primary Care - Pinehurst

PINEHURST, N.C. - FirstHealth of the Carolinas is pleased to welcome certified family nurse practitioner Georganna "Georgi" Moore to FirstHealth Primary Care - Pinehurst.

Moore is joining the practice of Peter J. Dorton, M.D. and Tania Oliveria, DNP.

She has previously worked in primary care and urgent care settings and is committed to fostering long-term patient relationships and improving community health outcomes.

"I view each patient as a whole person rather than just a diagnosis, considering their physical health, mental well-being, lifestyle and personal goals. I strive to create a collaborative environment where patients feel empowered to be active participants in their care," Moore said.

"I place a strong emphasis on listening to patients' concerns, building trust and ensuring they feel heard and respected. By combining compassionate communication with evidence-based medical knowledge, I aim to deliver care that is efficient and effective while meeting each patient's unique needs."

Education and Training

Moore earned her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Mississippi Medical Center in 2022 after completing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2019.

Moore said she has always had an interest to work in health care and admired her mother's career in the health care field.

"I remember watching ER with her and being inspired by the way the providers care for patients during vulnerable moments. From an early age, I knew I wanted to be in a role where I could offer compassion, support and expertise, especially to those with medical needs. That early exposure solidified my desire to pursue a career in health care, and that passion has only grown stronger over time," Moore said.

Life Outside of Work

Outside of work, Moore enjoys spending time with her family and her energetic Golden Retriever. She has two children who "bring so much joy to my life."

Moore also enjoys reading, spending time outside, traveling and cooking.
