PHILADELPHIA, PA -Today, Mayor Cherelle Parker put forth an agenda that outlined the needs of Philadelphia residents and actions our city must take to advance upward economic mobility in every zip code. The Chamber of Commerce for Greater Philadelphia (the Chamber) recognizes Mayor Parker for several elements of her 2026-2027 budget proposal that have the potential to advance the city's economic future.
Philadelphia's long-term growth depends on policies that support job creation, workforce development, reliable public transit, a strong education system, and a competitive environment for businesses of all sizes, which includes continued progress on previously enacted tax reductions so our city can create the environment and grow the opportunity jobs that our residents deserve.
The Chamber remains committed to engaging with the Parker Administration and City Council and mobilizing around the policies that are going to advance the economic mobility of our city and create pathways for inclusive economic growth and long-term economic stability for residents across Philadelphia.
