Following our regular Heads of Missions meeting of the EU Ambassadors working at the United Nations in Rome, we were joined today at Villa Europa by those European colleagues who regularly support or align with the EU's positions and share our values and interests.

We exchanged views on the candidacies for the position of Director-General of Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) and the ongoing FAO review process. We also discussed next week's meeting of the Executive Board at the World Food Programme (WFP), the 14th replenishment of the International Fund for Agriculture and Development (IFAD) and the future of the UN Committee on Food Security (CFS).

It is great to see at a meeting so many European colleagues who share a positive vision of multilateralism and are ready to invest into it!
