CMS Director Raven A. DeVaughn Receives Marks of Excellence Award from NFBPA Chicago

CHICAGO - The Chicago Chapter of the National Forum for Black Public Administrators (NFBPA) has awarded Raven A. DeVaughn, Director of the Illinois Department of Central Management Services, with a 2025 Marks of Excellence Award.

This distinguished honor recognizes outstanding African American professionals in public administration and service across Illinois. The Marks of Excellence Awards are among the highest honors presented by NFBPA Chicago, celebrating individuals who have demonstrated exceptional leadership, vision, and commitment to public service.

"Raven exemplifies the very best of public service leadership," said Governor JB Pritzker. "Her commitment to equity, innovation, and community empowerment continues to inspire a new generation of leaders across Illinois. This honor is a well-deserved recognition of her impact and vision."

Hosted annually, the Marks of Excellence Awards Ceremony is a signature celebration of public service, leadership, and legacy. Honorees are selected for their achievements in fields including government, education, health, infrastructure, and community advocacy.
