City of Columbia Utilities to resume utility disconnects

(COLUMBIA, MO)- As the temperatures have warmed up, the City of Columbia Utilities department will soon resume utility disconnections.

City of Columbia Utilities customers with past-due balances must bring their accounts current as soon as possible to avoid being disconnected. To view account information, customers can visit MyUtilityBill.CoMo.gov to check their account balance and sign up for eBilling.

City of Columbia Utilities does not disconnect electric customers when the National Weather Service forecasts temperatures to drop below 32 degrees during a 72-hour period during the winter months. During the summer months, disconnections do not take place when forecasted temperatures rise above 95 degrees or the heat index rises about 105 degrees during a 72-hour period.

Payments can be made:
  • Online at Pay.CoMo.gov with a checking/savings account or credit or debit card (no convenience fees)
