Meet Huey, a lovable 6-year-old pup searching for a forever home! Huey has been at the shelter since early March after being surrendered when his previous owner was no longer able to care for him.
According to his former family, Huey did wonderfully with their five children, and shelter staff have observed him getting along great with other dogs during playgroup sessions. He's house-trained, easygoing, and prefers spending his time sniffing, exploring, and making friends rather than racing around.
Huey recently showed off his star quality during the shelter's summer photo shoot. Volunteers described him as the perfect model , calm, focused, and well-behaved despite plenty of distractions. Thanks to his cooperative nature, they captured some fantastic photos of this handsome boy.
Huey also participates in the shelter's Doggie Daycation Program, which allows volunteers, county employees, and members of the public to spend time with shelter dogs outside of the facility. Everyone who has taken Huey on an outing has had wonderful things to say about him, praising his friendly personality and excellent manners. Huey leaves a lasting impression wherever he goes.
If you're looking for a gentle, well-mannered companion, Huey could be the perfect match. Huey (A2329884) is currently available for adoption at the Public Safety Department Animal Care and Control facility, located at 7100 Belvedere Road, West Palm Beach, FL 33411. The shelter is open seven days a week, and kennels are open for viewing beginning at noon each day.
