City of Clarksville honors Month of the Military Child in April

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. - Clarksville Mayor Joe Pitts and Ward 2 City Councilman Deanna McLaughlin presented a proclamation at the Thursday, April 3, Regular Session of City Council, in observance of Month of the Military Child. Councilman McLaughlin serves as State Council Chairman of the Tennessee Military Interstate Children's Compact Commission.

The colors of all branches of the U.S. Armed Services combine to create the color purple, and in honor of Month of the Military Child 2024, Clarksvillians are asked to "Purple Up!" (meaning wear and display lots of purple) on Wednesday, April 17.
