Final Report Regarding the June 2, 2024 Officer-Involved Shooting Incident in Nashua, New Hampshire

Concord, NH - Attorney General John M. Formella announces the completion of the investigation into the officer-involved shooting that occurred on June 2, 2024, in Nashua, New Hampshire, which resulted in the death of 41-year-old Ryan Prud'homme.

The final investigation report (attached) concludes that Officers Joshua Martin and Jay Atchue of the Nashua Police Department were legally justified in their use of force against Mr. Prud'homme. Officer Atchue fired two shots from a less-than-lethal projectile launcher, inflicting nonfatal injuries to Mr. Prud'homme, and Officer Martin fired one shot from his pistol, killing Mr. Prud'homme.

As a result of the investigation conducted, no criminal charges will be filed against either officer.
