Water Division Exterior Renovation Project to Affect Traffic Surrounding Building

Starting in late September through November, drivers can expect periodic lane closures and traffic pattern changes surrounding the City's Water Division Building, located on the block bordered by Liberty Drive, Reber Street, Willow Avenue and Cross Street. Crews are starting work on an exterior renovation project to replace elements of the Water Division building that have exceeded their expected lifespan and exhibit structural deficiencies.

Water service will not be affected, and Public Works Water Division staff will continue providing uninterrupted service throughout this project. However, to complete this work, crews at times will need to temporarily close lanes of traffic and/or detour traffic to allow construction equipment to access the project site. The City will provide updates when there are significant changes to traffic patterns in this area.

When completed, the new exterior of the Water Division building will address all structural issues, and the updated design will reflect the character of surrounding buildings. We anticipate this project will be substantially complete in November, with landscape restoration expected to follow in the spring.

We appreciate your patience as we work to complete this project. Please use caution when driving in this area.
