Lex Delles announces the official opening of Blue Origin's office in Luxembourg during his visit to Colorado Springs

During his visit to Colorado Springs for the 41st Space Symposium, one of the world's leading events in the space sector, Lex Delles, Minister of the Economy, SMEs, Energy and Tourism, met with Pat Remias, Vice President, Advanced Concepts and Enterprise Engineering, Blue Origin. This meeting marked a key step in strengthening the partnership between Luxembourg and the American company, with the official announcement of the opening of Blue Origin's European office in Luxembourg and the presentation of progress on the OASIS lunar mapping project.

The opening of this new office is the concrete result of the cooperation agreement signed between Blue Origin and the Ministry of the Economy in June 2025. The Luxembourg office will serve as a strategic hub supporting Blue Origin's expanding global supply chain and enhancing collaboration with the Luxembourg Space Agency (LSA), the European Space Agency (ESA), and other institutional and industrial partners across Europe.

Luxembourg was selected for its diverse and dynamic space ecosystem and its pool of highly qualified, multilingual talent. This expansion will enable Blue Origin to strengthen its operational capabilities and support its growth in Europe.

As part of their cooperation, Blue Origin and Luxembourg are joining forces on the OASIS project, a pioneering mission to map lunar resources from an ultra-low polar orbit. The project aims to identify, with unprecedented precision, the presence of water ice, helium-3, and rare earth elements on the Moon's surface.

The OASIS project will be implemented jointly by Blue Origin's Luxembourg office and the company's Space Resources Center of Excellence, with the support of Luxembourg partners GOMSpace and ESRIC. The data collected will help determine the optimal conditions and sites for future extraction of essential resources to enable sustainable space exploration.
