Lane & ramp closures along I-29 in Clay & Platte Counties for guardrail operations, NOW - April 18

CLAY AND PLATTE COUNTY - The Missouri Department of Transportation will be performing guardrail replacement resulting in various traffic modifications, on Interstate 29 from just south of Mexico City Ave. to U.S. 69. This project will take place over the winter months and motorists may experience delays through April 18. Traffic impacts will be shared as work is scheduled. Lane closures may vary between nights. All work is weather permitting.

The following locations will experience intermittent lane and ramp closures NOW - April 18, Mon. - Sat.

  • Overnight intermittent ramp closures for guardrail replacement on NB/SB I-29 7:00 PM until 6:30 AM:
    • SB I-29 to NW. Barry Rd. ramp CLOSED, Fri., Apr. 3
    • EB US-152 to SB I-29 ramp CLOSED, Sat., Apr. 4
    • NW Prairie View Rd. to SB I-29 CLOSED, Tues., Apr. 7 to Fri., Apr. 10
    • SB I-29 to NW Gateway Ave/Riverside, Mon., Apr. 13 to Wed., Apr. 15
    • NB I-635 to SB I-29, multi-lane closure, Thurs., Apr. 16
  • Overnight intermittent lane closures for guardrail replacement on NB I-29 7:00 PM until 6:30 AM:
    • SB/NB I-29 from Mexico City Ave. to NE 112th St., Wed., Apr. 1 to Thurs., Apr. 2
    • SB I-29 from NW Barry Rd. to US-169, Fri., Mar. 27 to Sat., Apr. 18
  • Overnight intermittent lane closures for pavement repair on SB I-29 7:00 PM until 6:30 AM:
    • Lane closure Fri., Mar. 27
    • SB I-29 lane closures beginning Mon., Mar. 30

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can also be short-term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris form the roadway.
