Initiative to be established an authorizing norm to create an Armenian rapid response medical team

The initiative proposes to establish an authorizing norm, which will provide an opportunity to define additional requirements for the implementation of certain types of medical care and service in hospital conditions.

It is also proposed to establish another authorizing norm to create an Armenian rapid response medical group, which will be involved not only in the work of providing medical aid and service to victims during emergency situations in the territory of the Republic of Armenia, but also, if necessary, by the Prime Minister's decision, in the international humanitarian missions outside the territory of the Republic of Armenia.

According to the RA First Deputy Minister of Health Lena Nanushyan, during the epidemic and war, such teams from different countries arrived in Armenia to help our medical professionals.

According to the rapporteur, the group will be self-sufficient, have everything necessary to deploy anywhere and provide the necessary medical care and service to the affected citizens.

The co-rapporteur, the member of the NA Standing Committee on Health Care Hripsime Hunanyan voiced the endorsement of the Head Committee.

The addenda and the amendments to the law on Medical Aid and Service for Population was debated in the first reading at the NA sitting on November 14.
