Asphalt resurfacing along Prospect Road between NW 21st Avenue and NW 10th Avenue is expected to begin on Monday, November 10, 2025, and be completed by late 2025. Work will take place overnight Monday through Friday evenings between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m.
Traffic Impacts
Since construction began in May 2025, the water main installation has been completed. Overall project completion is expected in late 2025. This schedule is subject to change based on inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

Since construction began in May 2024, crews from David Mancini & Sons, Inc. have completed Phases 1, 2, 5 and 7 and are currently working on Phases 3, 8 and 9. So far, about 10,000 feet of pipe have been installed. The project is currently on time and on budget.
As of Monday, February 3, crews are working on Phase 8 along Prospect Road between NW 17th Avenue and NW 10th Terrace. Work in this area is expected to be completed by Friday, March 7.

The City of Fort Lauderdale is working with David Mancini and Sons, Inc. to install 17,600 feet of new water main from the Prospect Lake Clean Water Center to the Fiveash Water Treatment Plant in Fort Lauderdale's Twin Lakes North neighborhood and the cities of Tamarac and Oakland Park.
This project includes:
Crews will install the new water main utilizing trenchless technology to minimize the impact on the community. This method is more efficient than traditional open-cut construction and will expedite the completion of the project. Open-cut construction will be necessary in some areas. Work is expected to begin along Perimeter Road at Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport (FXE) and continue east and south toward the Fiveash Water Treatment Plant.
Construction will begin on Monday, May 6, and is expected to be completed in Summer 2025. Work will generally take place Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Some overnight work may be required. This schedule is subject to change based on inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
