Tesla employees Jelsy Comia and Patricia Baughman celebrate their skill certifications from WNC during a ceremony in The Link.
Huge congratulations to our amazing Tesla START students, who just wrapped up one of the most rigorous training experiences Western Nevada College offers!
This fall, these dedicated learners completed the equivalent of 25 college credits in just 16 weeks, earning skill certifications in Manufacturing Technician and Mechatronics Foundations - an incredible achievement!
The first group of Teslastudents to graduate included Calvin Banks, John Burton, Trystan Cameron, Aaron Holden, Isaiah Mascarenas, Andrew McArthur, Nicholas Richey, Adolfo Sanchez, Necati Sepin (Koray), Matthew Tozer, Aaron Valentine, David Walsh and Bryan Wilcox.
Students recognized in the second Tesla group were Jim Lopez Alfaro, Patricia Baughman, Marina Benitez, Shawn Berndt, Connor Carmona, Jelsy Comia, Spencer Crowder, Oluwashina Elegbede, Tristen "Teekay" Haag, Kacey Johnson, Alberto Flores Mandujano, Julio Garcia Rojas and Christopher Savala.
Both of these groups were recognized in The Link with family and friends in attendance. They received skill their certifications, swag, food and refreshments.
Their hard work, persistence and passion for advanced manufacturing shine brightly, and WNC is proud to support their next steps in Nevada's high-tech workforce.
