GATE 2027 Registration: Registration for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2027 exam is currently open through the official candidate website, gate2027.iitm.ac.in. The Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras) is the organizing institute. GATE 2027 is the entrance test held at the national level for the Master's and Ph.D. courses at the top institutions such as IITs, NITs, IISc, and recruitment in major PSUs. All candidates are required to register themselves on or before September 27, 2026 (without late fees) or October 5, 2026 (with late fees). The examination dates for the computer-based test are from February 6, 2027, with six test dates.

Candidates may follow the steps given below to fill out the GATE 2027 online application.

• Access the GATE 2027 official website, gate2027.iitm.ac.in.
• Log in to the GOAPS/Application Portal.
• Sign up with the required DigiLocker credentials and give consent for fetching your required DigiLocker data.
• Fill in/confirm the personal and communication information.
• Details of your qualifying degree and institute/college.
• Choose the GATE test paper of your choice. Candidates with two papers should pick a legitimate two-paper pairing.
• Choose six examination cities from the zone.
• Upload the necessary photograph, signature, photo ID, and relevant category/PwD certificates, etc.
• During the registration process, perform Live Face Image Capture.
• Pay the requisite application fee using the online modes of payment.
• Recheck all the information thoroughly before submitting the application.
• Submit it and keep a record of the application confirmation and payment information for future use.
