Plumbing & Mechanical Inspection Reminder

Plumbing and Mechanical Inspectors,

As a reminder, on June 1, 2026, we made changes to how certain inspections are scheduled in order to improve efficiency and maximize available inspection resources.

The following inspections must be requested together for the same day:

• Residential Plumbing
  • Plumbing Rough Below Floor Level inside foundation inspection
  • Plumbing Rough Below Grade outside foundation inspection
• Residential/Multifamily
  • Plumbing Top Out/Rough Above Floor/Shower Pan inspection
  • Mechanical Rough Above Floor Level inspection
• Residential/Commercial Plumbing & Mechanical - Final Inspections
  • Plumbing Final/Customer Service inspection
  • Mechanical Final inspections

Please ensure that these inspections are requested together and scheduled for the same day. This change will help us reduce the number of stops and make the most efficient use of our inspectors' time.

• Use the DallasNow portal. Payments are NOT requested outside of the DallasNow system.
• Do not click on suspicious links or download unknown attachments. Put cursor on links to see the URL.
• Verify the sender's email address. Emails from City of Dallas will normally come from @dallas.gov.
• Never share your passwords or personal details via email.
