The University of Toledo College of Law will host the July 28-29 Ohio bar examination.
Serving as a test site for the first time, Toledo Law joins five other law schools in Ohio. The location will accommodate test-takers based in northwest Ohio, primarily recent alumni of Toledo Law and Ohio Northern University College of Law, although the Supreme Court of Ohio can grant permission for additional testers to attend.
"We are honored to serve as a new testing location for the Ohio bar exam," said Kelly Tomlinson, director of academic success and bar preparation. "Many of our graduates will now be able to take the bar exam in the familiar surroundings of their own College of Law, which helps relieve the stress and expense of traveling to test sites elsewhere in the state."
Administered by the Supreme Court of Ohio, the bar exam is a rigorous standardized test law students must pass to practice law in the state.
Toledo Law posted strong results on the exam in July 2025, ranking second among the state's nine law schools with a first-time passage rate of 86%.
