Back-to-School Bash

Join us for the 2025 Back-To-School Bash from 4-6 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 29, in Flossmoor Park! This event is a great way for families to dive into the new school year, enjoy time together, and connect with local resources that support our students and community. Kids and adults alike will enjoy treats from Kona Ice and Dip 'n Double, while exploring a variety of tables hosted by local organizations. Community partners such as Partnership for Resilience, Elevate Therapy, and the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP) will be on hand to share information and answer questions. One of the highlights of the event is the return of the popular Spirit Wear Swap. The Flossmoor Library and Flossmoor Green Commission have partnered once again to collect gently used SD 161 spirit wear, now through mid-August. Donations will be sorted by school and size, then made available for families to browse and take home during the event. This a great way to support one another, reduce waste, and keep school gear out of landfills. The Bash is a collaborative effort between the Village of Flossmoor, the Flossmoor Public Library and Flossmoor School District 161. We hope to see you there!
