Traffic Advisory Issued Ahead of Luke Bryan Concert at Castle Airport

Merced County officials are advising the public to prepare for significant traffic congestion in the Atwater and Merced areas on Thursday, May 15, 2025, due to the Luke Bryan concert at Castle Airport.

Heavy traffic is expected in the afternoon and late evening hours, particularly along Santa Fe Drive between Atwater and Merced. Concertgoers and local travelers should anticipate extremely congested conditions from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., and again from 11 p.m. to 3 a.m. following the event.

To minimize delays and ensure public safety, travelers are strongly encouraged to avoid eastbound and westbound Santa Fe Drive during peak congestion periods. Alternate routes should be used whenever possible.

Merced County is working closely with the California Highway Patrol, local law enforcement, and event organizers to manage traffic flow and maintain access for emergency services. Motorists should remain alert for traffic control devices, increased pedestrian activity, and temporary road closures near the venue.

Please note-while businesses located at Castle Commerce Center will be able to continue normal operations the day of the concert, they are advised to take heed of the aforementioned high-volume traffic windows.
