Governor Ayotte to Nominate James Key-Wallace as Interim Commissioner of Business and Economic Affairs

CONCORD, NH - Today, Governor Kelly Ayotte announced that she will nominate James Key-Wallace, Executive Director of the New Hampshire Business Finance Authority, as the interim Commissioner of the Department of Business and Economic Affairs (BEA) at tomorrow's Executive Council meeting.

Key-Wallace will serve as interim Commissioner of BEA for up to sixty days while the search for a full-time Commissioner continues. He will retain his position at the Business Finance Authority and continue his duties as Executive Director upon confirmation of a new BEA Commissioner.

Governor Ayotte released the following statement on Key-Wallace's nomination:

"James Key-Wallace has done an excellent job leading the Business Finance Authority and brings a wealth of knowledge on economic development to this acting position. I am grateful that he is willing to serve as the interim Commissioner of Business and Economic Affairs as I conduct a search for a qualified Commissioner to serve in this key position."
