Key Takeaways
A new program from Greater St. Louis, Inc. will help expand the reach of local chambers of commerce throughout the 15-county metro. The Affiliate Chamber Program, introduced this week, allows regional chambers to partner with GSL, enhancing their members' benefits, creating a broad network of small businesses, and connecting those small businesses with GSL's corporate investors. The program adds to GSL's suite of resources that support regional chambers.
"We developed this program to create broader regional collaboration," said Brooke LaPlaca, Director of Engagement for GSL, who leads the Affiliate Chamber Program. "GSL understands that small businesses are an engine of growth for the metro. Creating opportunities for connection boosts their individual growth - and advances the region together."
There is no cost to join the program. Participating chambers span both Missouri and Illinois, and include Asian American Chamber of Commerce, St. Louis; Creve Coeur Olivette Chamber of Commerce; Heartland St. Louis Black Chamber of Commerce, St. Charles Regional Chamber; St. Louis African Chamber of Commerce; and Troy/Maryville/St. Jacob/Marine Chamber of Commerce.
Benefits for each participating chamber include a $500 GSL sponsorship of a program or event, a seat on both GSL's Government Relations Council and Investor Council, and amplification of local chamber news and events through GSL platforms.
"This program amplifies the benefits that our chamber offers," said Scott Tate, President and CEO, St. Charles Regional Chamber. "It gives my members the opportunity to connect with and learn from other small businesses within the region. And it helps all of us contribute to bigger picture growth for the St. Louis metro."
This program is now open for participation. Get more information at the links below, or connect with Brooke LaPlaca, Director of Engagement.
