Orange County will pay tribute to the lives lost during the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks with a special lighting display and a Patriot Day ceremony.
The Orange County Emergency Services Center at 22 Wells Farm Road in Goshen will shine twin beams of light from dusk to dawn on Wednesday, September 10th, and Thursday, September 11th, as a sign of the County's remembrance and hope.
"Orange County will always remember and honor all the victims of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, and most especially those that we lost from our County," said Neuhaus. "These twin beams serve as a powerful reminder of the lives lost, the courage and sacrifice of first responders, and the resilience of our community."
In addition to the light tribute, Orange County will host its annual September 11th Patriot Day ceremony at the Orange County Arboretum at Thomas Bull Memorial Park on Thursday, September 11th, at 6:00 p.m. The ceremony will honor and remember the 44 Orange County residents who lost their lives on that tragic day.
This solemn observance invites all residents to reflect, remember, and unite in honoring the victims and the heroes of 9/11.
