On December 4, in Vienna, on the margins of the 32nd OSCE Ministerial Council, Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Robert Abisoghomonyan had a meeting with Inês Domingos, the Secretary of State for European Affairs of Portugal.
The interlocutors emphasized the high level of effective cooperation established between Armenia and Portugal across multilateral platforms and reaffirmed their willingness to enhance collaboration within international organizations on issues of mutual interest.
The Deputy Foreign Minister briefed his counterpart on the vision of Armenia regarding hosting the 17th meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity and 8th European Political Community Summit in 2026. In this vein, Robert Abisoghomonyan reiterated the commitment of Armenia to ensuring inclusive, constructive and cooperative dialogue within COP17 and EPC.
The parties touched upon the ambitious agenda of Armenia-EU partnership anchored on the shared values.
During the meeting, issues on the bilateral agenda were also discussed. Both sides emphasized the importance of further deepening political and economic ties, as well as advancing the ongoing cooperation in the field of innovative technologies.
