Nexstar Media Charitable Foundation Donates $5,000 to Friends of AJ Swope in Amarillo, TX

Irving, TX and Amarillo, TX (October 28, 2025) - The Nexstar Media Charitable Foundation and KAMR-TV (NBC, DMA #132), the Nexstar Media Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: NXST) television stations serving Amarillo, TX, and the surrounding area, today announced that the Foundation will donate $5,000 to Friends of AJ Swope.

The Foundation's contribution comes as the city of Amarillo recently proclaimed today, October 28, "Local First Responders Day" and the Texas nonprofit has been raising funds to break ground on the Texas Panhandle First Responders Memorial, a centralized place to commemorate the fallen heroes of Amarillo and its surrounding 26 counties. Since September, Friends of AJ Swope have raised $925,000 for the Texas Panhandle First Responders Memorial; just $75,000 shy of breaking ground this year. The Memorial will be located in downtown Amarillo at 11th and Polk and include the names of more than 100 first responders who have died in the line of duty since 1882.

The Nexstar Media Charitable Foundation's mission is to contribute to and work with public charities and non-profit organizations to improve the communities in which Nexstar Media and its subsidiaries do business. The foundation was originally established in 1958 and makes donations of approximately $350,000 annually.
