September 15, 2025 - Montreal's The Barr Brothers have released "Naturally," a heartfelt ode to personal growth and self-acceptance. Rooted in the tradition of classic American songwriting, the track evokes the melodic charm and lyrical depth of artists like Harry Nilsson and Paul Simon. "Naturally" is the fourth glimpse into Let It Hiss, their long-awaited fourth studio album, arriving October 17.

Unfolding gradually over a laid back groove, "Naturally" features ethereal high harmonies from fellow Montrealer Ariel Engle (La Force) as Brad Barr's vocals cut through the fog of self-deception: "everybody but me / saw what I couldn't see / had the right to agree / naturally." It's not just a line-it's a reckoning.
Speaking about the track, Brad noted: "This was one of the more demanding songs that I wrote for the album. It required a degree of honesty and humility that, once finished, set the mark a lot higher for what I hope to offer as a songwriter. It helped me open up to some hard truths."
The track builds slowly, like someone coming clean. By the end, it doesn't resolve so much as release. Gratitude arrives not as a gentle bow, but as a hard-won truth. Andrew Barr's drumming doesn't decorate; it anchors. This isn't a showcase of gentleness-it's a moment of exposure, where melody and message meet without flinching.
Let It Hiss was produced by Brad and Andrew, working primarily as a duo out of their Montreal studio, and worked with mix engineer Jon Low (The National, Taylor Swift, Bon Iver). In addition to Ariel Engle (La Force)'s contributions on this new track, the album also features the likes of Elizabeth Powell (Land Of Talk), Patrick Watson, and Jim James (My Morning Jacket). Their fourth studio album isn't just a collection of 10 vital new songs, it's a document of transformation. The result of a pivotal shift: a pause for reflection, a reckoning with vulnerability, and a reconnection between two brothers - Brad and Andrew Barr - who've spent their entire lives making music side by side.
Along with the June 11 album announcement, the band shared the project's first single " Let it Hiss " and have since shared the propulsive open-road anthem " Run Right Into It " and the graceful folk hymn " English Harbour " featuring Jim James of My Morning Jacket.
The Barr Brothers have also recently announced that they will be opening for Mumford & Sons. Beginning on October 8 at the United Center in Chicago, the tour will see Brad and Andrew Barr accompanying Marcus Mumford and co. to major East Coast arenas including Philadelphia's Wells Fargo Center, Pittsburgh's PPG Paints Arena, and a homecoming performance at Montreal's Bell Centre. Andrew - The Barr Brothers' drummer/singer/songwriter - has also been playing drums for Mumford & Sons on their recent Rushmere tour. Full dates below.
