Seaside Park Boardwalk Replacement

NJTIBJuly 10th, 2025

NJ I-Bank and NJDOT Helping to Improve New Jersey's Infrastructure, One Project at a Time

Seaside Park Borough recently closed on a $12.3 million loan from the NJ Transportation Bank to replace its aging boardwalk along North Ocean Avenue, from 5th Avenue to K Street. Originally built in the 1940s, the deteriorating structure will be removed and replaced with composite decking on treated timber piles. The project includes ADA-compliant access via straight, graded, and switchback ramps, aluminum railings, and connections to existing dune crossovers. While most work replaces existing infrastructure, some new ramp areas will be added to meet ADA standards.
