Both supersoft rear options proved very competitive in Moto2™
"During this GP, we provided Moto2™ riders with a new supersoft rear solution - the F0192 specification - which immediately showed a very positive behaviour. In Friday morning's FP1, it was compared with the range supersoft SCX and most riders preferred it. With this new tyre, Baltus in FP1 first, and then Agius in the afternoon Practice, improved the outright lap record, set last year by Deniz Öncü.
In qualifying, despite going quicker than the 2025 reference, it was not possible to improve the time set by Agius in Practice: the rain that fell until mid-morning washed the rubber laid down on Friday off the track surface, resetting the track evolution. For the same reason, Moto3™ riders, with the track still partly damp, were also unable to improve on Friday's times.
Looking ahead to tomorrow's races, we expect most Moto2™ riders to choose the front soft SC1 paired with the new rear supersoft F0192. However, both supersoft rear options proved equally competitive, so some riders opted for the SCX range, making the head-to-head comparison in the race between the two solutions especially interesting.
Just like last year, in Moto3™, most riders are expected to opt for medium-compound SC2 tyres on both axles, a configuration better suited to the Jerez circuit features."
