Board of Trustees meeting summary for Feb. 12-13

February 17, 2026

On Thursday, February 12, the Board met in Kaiser Borsari Hall and heard a presentation on the Applied Doctorate in Audiology (Au.D.) program. After the presentation, the Trustees took a tour of the Audiology Clinic. They were introduced to a range of services and equipment used by students in the Speech, Language and Hearing program and observed students working with patients.

On Friday, February 13, the Board met for its regular business meeting. As part of the Consent Agenda, the Board voted to accept the FY2025 financial reports and renewed the contract with CliftonLarsonAllen to continue as the University's external auditor for another two years. It approved revisions to the Finance, Audit and Enterprise Risk Management Committee Charter. The Board's 2027 and 2028 regular meeting dates were also approved. Finally, the Board was proud to approve degrees earned this Spring Quarter. Board members engaged in presentations about the current legislative session and about Western's Graduate-level programs and the unique faculty research, and student engagement, in those programs.

The next regular Board of Trustees meeting is scheduled for April 9-10, 2026, in Bellingham, WA.
