McCombie: Lame Duck Session a Waste

After the second scheduled day of Lame Duck session adjourned today, House Minority Leader Tony McCombie issued the following statement:

"The buck stops with the leader…the speaker: we won't be subject to the mismanagement and chaos of his own making. We are here on the taxpayers' dime and it is an expensive waste."

McCombie's comments come after lawmakers, staff, and personnel traveled to the Capitol during a snow emergency for a non-urgent legislative session day-and amid significant staff turnover from the Illinois House Speaker's Office.
