Rep. Webster: FY26 NDAA Delivers on Peace Through Strength

Washington, D.C. -
Florida Congressman Daniel Webster, R-Clermont, voted to pass the Fiscal Year 2026 National Defense Authorization Act (FY26 NDAA), legislation that invests in U.S. military capabilities, supports American servicemembers and their families, and restores the military's focus.

"I voted to ensure America's Armed Forces remain the most capable and lethal fighting force in the world," said Rep. Webster. "President Trump's approach to national security is rooted in peace through strength, and this NDAA delivers on the President's agenda. The FY26 NDAA strengthens our military's capabilities, supports our servicemembers and their families, and ensures that taxpayer dollars are invested in readiness - not radical ideology."

The FY26 NDAA codifies 15 of President Trump's executive orders and includes more than 30 legislative proposals from the Trump administration. It provides a 3.8% pay raise for all servicemembers and makes major investments in critical defense programs including the Golden Dome missile defense initiative and F-47 fighter aircraft. The bill also advances the Trump administration's priorities to revitalize the American defense industrial base, shipbuilding, and defense supply chains in the United States.

Webster added, "Supporting the U.S. Coast Guard is one of my top priorities, and I'm pleased that the FY26 NDAA authorizes the investments necessary so the Coast Guard has the tools and resources needed to operate effectively and carry out its vital missions. The Coast Guard plays a critical role in protecting our maritime borders, interdicting illegal drugs, conducting search and rescue operations, and supporting national defense."

The FY26 NDAA also:

  • Fully funds National Guard deployments to assist Border Patrol operations at the Southwest border.
  • Authorizes over $22 billion for construction of submarines, destroyers, and new aircraft carrier.
  • Invests $15 billion to replenish depleted munitions stockpiles.
  • Saves taxpayers $20 billion by eliminating DEI programs, radical climate spending, and obsolete weapons systems.
  • Allocates $142 billion for investment in next-generation technologies like hypersonics, artificial intelligence, and quantum computing.
