Moulton Secures $14.3 Million in Community Project Funding

SALEM, MA- Congressman Seth Moulton (MA-06) announced that he has secured $14.3 million for 14 community improvement projects in FY2026 Appropriations, which were recently signed into law.

Under guidelines issued by the House Appropriations Committee, each Representative is allowed to request funding for a limited number of community projects in their districts. Projects are restricted to specific accounts with varying eligibility.

The projects selected by Congressman Moulton this year will improve water infrastructure, address PFAS contamination, support workforce development, and invest in transportation and education.

"Washington may be broken, but I'm fighting for every dollar I can bring back to the 6th District," said Congressman Moulton. "I proud to have secured over $14 million for projects that address real needs in our communities from aging water systems to workforce training."

The FY26 Selected Projects Include:

Water Infrastructure

Gloucester: Pump Station Upgrades

Recipient: City of Gloucester

Funding Amount: $1,092,000

Marblehead: Sewer Infiltration and Inflow Reduction

Recipient: Town of Marblehead

Funding Amount: $807,000

Merrimac: Wastewater Treatment Plant Upgrades

Recipient: Town of Merrimac

Funding Amount: $1,092,000

Nahant: Wastewater Infrastructure Upgrades

Recipient: Town of Nahant

Funding Amount: $1,092,000

Newburyport: PFAS Water Filtration System

Recipient: City of Newburyport

Funding Amount: $1,092,000

Essex: Drinking Water System Improvements

Recipient: Town of Essex

Funding Amount: $1,092,000

Hamilton: Hamilton-Wenham Regional Drinking Water Connection

Recipient: Town of Hamilton

Funding Amount: $1,092,000

Ipswich: Drinking Water Infrastructure Upgrades

Recipient: Town of Ipswich

Middleton: PFAS Mitigation Project

Recipient: Town of Reading

Funding Amount: $250,000
