LEADER JEFFRIES STATEMENT ON DONALD TRUMP’S HEALTHCARE TARIFFS

Today, Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries released the following statement:

Donald Trump and Republicans promised to lower costs on day one, but they have instead caused prices to increase and ripped healthcare away from millions of Americans. The President is now doubling down on his attack on healthcare by once again imposing reckless tariffs that will raise the cost of prescription drugs and injecting more of his chaotic policies into the care that families need. This is unacceptable at a time where life is already unaffordable in this country, and House Democrats will continue to push back against it on behalf of the American people.
