The Digital Rulebook at a turning point: less burden, more growth

EU single marketDigital economy

The discussion focused on how the business community experiences EU rules on the ground, and how meaningful burden reduction can strengthen Europe's economic performance.

Our Director General Markus J. Beyrer reaffirmed BusinessEurope's readiness to actively support the Digital Omnibus and the ongoing Digital Fitness Check through the expertise of our Digital Economy Working Group. Our key messages: delivering smarter regulation, reducing regulatory burden and enhancing competitiveness must remain a shared priority.

We are not only advocating for better legislation, we are working to ensure that policies are practical, support growth and innovation, and reflect the human effort behind every business decision.

Our members had the opportunity to highlight where swift legislative adoption is essential, and where practical insights can help prevent overlaps or unintended consequences.

We look forward to continuing this dialogue and contributing concrete solutions.
