A Message of Support and Solidarity from ABI Regarding the Western Wildfires
Dear Members of the Insolvency Community,
On behalf of the American Bankruptcy Institute, I write to you with a heavy heart as we witness the devastating impact of the wildfires raging across California. These fires have left destruction in their wake, claiming lives, displacing families, and uprooting communities. The loss and suffering are unimaginable, and our thoughts are with everyone affected by this tragedy.
As professionals who are dedicated to rebuilding and restoring financial stability, we are particularly attuned to the challenges faced by individuals and businesses during times of crisis. Many of our colleagues, clients, and friends in California may be directly impacted, and we stand ready to support them in any way we can.
At ABI, we are exploring ways to provide resources to those in need. An L.A. Times article from January 8 includes links to several organizations that are on the ground in California and could use support. If you are able, please consider making a donation.
In the face of such overwhelming loss, the strength and resilience of our community offer a beacon of hope. Together, we can work toward recovery and healing, ensuring that those impacted by these wildfires are not alone in their journey forward.
As always, thank you for your compassion, and for the care and expertise you bring to our profession.
