JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. -The following is a list of general highway maintenance and construction work planned in the mid-Missouri area Jan. 20 - 26, 2025. Weather conditions may postpone scheduled work. Many projects will include lane closures whichcould cause delays.  

All Counties

Moving operations such as pothole patching, brush cutting,and pavement repair continue in various locations. Motorists should travel with care and be alert for slow-moving equipment.

All work is weather permitting, and schedules are subject to change.

Boone County

U.S. Route 63 - Bridge construction continues on U.S. Route 63 between the Broadway overpass and Conley Road underpass in Columbia. U.S. Route 63 will remain open but in a head-to-head configuration with narrowed lanes and reduced speeds. This traffic pattern is expected to be in place through late 2025. Interstate 70 - New pavement construction continues in Columbia from Route B (Paris Road) to U.S. Route 63through January 2027 as part of the Improve I-70 program.Motorists can expect intermittent and long-term lane closures for the duration of the project. Callaway County

I-70- New pavement construction continues from the Boone County line to Kingdom City(near mile marker 145) as part of the Improve I-70 Program. Motorists can expect intermittent and long-term lane closures for the duration of the project. Learn more at modot.org/improvei70/columbiakingdomcity

Crawford County

Interstate 44 - Pavement repairs planned Jan. 20 - 24 from mile marker 224 to mile marker 214.

Missouri Route 8 - Roadside work planned Jan. 20 - 24 from Missouri Route 19 to Route T. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Route 8 - Roadside work planned Jan. 20 - 24 from Long Springs Road to Route 19. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Route 19 - Roadside work planned Jan. 20- 24 from Route HHto KP Road. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Missouri Route 49 - Roadside work planned Jan. 20- 24 from Route 19 to Route Y. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Route KK - Culvert replacement planned Jan. 20 - 24. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Cooper County

Route Z - Roadside work planned Jan. 21 - 24. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Dent County

Route 19 - Roadside work continues at Standing Rock Creek, south of Route N, as part of a bridge replacementproject. Motorists can expect intermittent lane closures for the duration of the work, which is expected to be completein May 2025.

Howard County

Missouri Route 87 - Roadside work planned Jan. 20- 24 from Route J to Route E. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Missouri Route 124 - Pothole patching planned Jan. 20 - 24 from Missouri Route 240 to Route Y. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Laclede County

Route K - Culvert replacement planned Jan. 22 from Route AC to Missouri Route 32. The road will be CLOSED 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Moniteau County

Routes 87, D, E, and N - Bridge maintenance planned Jan. 20 - 24 in various locations. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Routes 87, F, H, T, and V - Pothole patching planned Jan. 20 - 24 in various locations. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Morgan County

Route 52 -Pavement work scheduled to begin Jan. 20, between Fairgrounds Road and Route 5 intersection. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in November 2025.

Phelps County

U.S. Route 63 - Bridge maintenance planned Jan. 20 - 24 at Yancy Mills. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Routes H and M - Culvert replacement planned Jan. 20 - 24. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

RoutesEand CC - Roadside work planned Jan. 20- 24. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Route BB - Shoulder work planned Jan. 20- 24 from Carson Street to Helen Streetin St. James. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
