Born in New York City on September 11, 1959, Carole graduated from Northwestern University and Yale University, earning advanced degrees and certifications in financial and investment planning. She went on to build an accomplished international career with the U.S. Department of State, living and working in Washington, D.C., Peru, Barbados, and Brazil before settling in Miami following her mother's passing.

In Miami-Dade County, Carole devoted herself fully to civic life and community service. She was an active and longtime member of the Miami-Dade Democratic Executive Committee, where she played a consistent and meaningful role in strengthening the local Democratic Party. Carole was especially passionate about voter engagement. She volunteered countless hours registering voters, ensuring members of her community understood their rights, and helping expand access to the ballot. She believed deeply that democracy works best when everyone participates, and she worked tirelessly to make that belief a reality.

Beyond her political engagement, Carole gave generously of her time and expertise. She assisted seniors in resolving tax issues, advocated for children and legally incompetent individuals in court proceedings, and served underserved members of her community with compassion and professionalism. Her steady presence, intelligence, and integrity made her indispensable to those she served.

Carole dedicated her life to helping others and always made time to lend a listening ear or kind word. She loved her family and friends deeply and cherished the relationships that sustained her throughout her life.

Carole is survived by her first cousins, Lissa (Jackson) Miller, Dierdre (Jackson) Cox, David Jackson, and Michelle Kelly Williams, along with a host of second and third cousins, dear friends, and colleagues who will forever cherish her memory. She was preceded in death by her parents, Julia (Kelly) Jackson and Wilfred Jackson.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her memory to the United Negro College Fund.

Carole's legacy lives on in the voters she helped register, the voices she helped empower, and the Democratic values she championed with unwavering commitment.
