Parking and Traffic Advisory: Shuttle and Parking Update for the Week

Published: February 24, 2026

Dear Adelphi Community,

Adelphi University will resume normal operations on Wednesday, February 25, 2026. With more snow expected intermittently this week, please review these updates to help us keep campus running smoothly:

Parking Advisory: Underground Garages Recommended

  • To ensure the safety of your vehicle and to assist our Facilities crews with snow removal, we strongly recommend parking in the Motamed or Nexus underground parking garages, particularly if you are parking overnight.
  • As a reminder, all vehicles parked on campus must have a current Adelphi University decal.

Shuttle Service and Commuter Updates

  • The Panther Express shuttlewill resume its normal schedule on Wednesday, February 25, 2026. Please allow extra travel time; delays are possible as the LIRR and local transit (NICE) systems resume full service. Our transportation team is monitoring this situation and will adjust service as needed.
    • In the event that the Hempstead branch of the LIRR does not resume service by February 25, the transportation team is set to rotate shuttle service between Post Hall and the Mineola LIRR station during peak times, especially in the morning, to provide a steady connection to campus. Please use the regular weekday schedule as your primary guide and review LIRR service alertsbefore your travel.
  • Commuters are encouraged to allow extra travel time and exercise caution on local roadways.

If you have any questions or concerns, don't hesitate to call the Public Safety Command Center at 516.877.3511.

Thank you for your cooperation in keeping our campus safe and accessible.
