FRA-ECtHR cooperation

From 1 to 3 June 2026, FRA participated in a series of meetings in Strasbourg with colleagues from the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) and the Council of Europe (CoE) colleagues.

Themes included EU accession to the European Convention on Human Rights, the interplay of ECHR and the EU Charter, EU-ECHR legal and policy alignment and increasing cooperation on the FRA-ECtHR joint factsheets. Other emerging priorities included social rights, business and human rights and environment.
