Frederick County Pet and Adoption Center Temporarily Closed January 17 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.

FREDERICK, Md. - The Frederick County Division of Animal Control, located at 1832 Rosemont Avenue in Frederick, will be temporarily closed to the public on Friday, January 17 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. while local utilities perform needed work in the area. This closure includes the Pet and Adoption Center.

The facility will undergo a scheduled power outage for approximately four hours. At the completion of the utility work, the Pet and Adoption Center will resume normal operations and will reopen to the public. During the temporary closure, essential staff will be on duty to care for stray and unwanted pets as normal. A plan is in place to provide lighting and heat to the building to ensure the health and well-being of the animals in the facility.
