M-DCPS Magnet and VPK Program Open October 1st

Miami-Dade County Public Schools (M-DCPS) announces that applications for its renowned Magnet programs and Voluntary Prekindergarten (VPK) are open for the 2026-2027 school year. This is your chance to discover a world of possibilities for your child. M-DCPS is redefining what's possible in public education with an expanded array of themes, cutting-edge programs, and opportunities from aerospace to artificial intelligence.

Applications are accepted exclusively through the M-DCPS Parent Portal at dadeschools.net. The application window is open from October 1, 2025, to January 15, 2026. Once logged in - easily using an Apple or Google ID - parents can click the Admissions Application tile to get started.

Our VPK offerings, which include Reggio Emilia-inspired and Montessori-inspired programs, are available for students age 4 and can be applied for through the M-DCPS Parent Portal.
