Sacramento - Caltrans is announcing the temporary closure of the Paintersville bridge on State Highway 160 (SR 160) in the Delta for approximately three hours for bridge inspections next week.

Caltrans recommends motorists add at least 30 minutes of additional travel time for appointments or work commutes.

Schedule: Wednesday, February 19 from 9 a.m. to noon

Built in the 1920s, the Paintersville bridge connects SR 160 with South River and Grand Island roads and with the town of Courtland. It was the second bridge built along with the Isleton bridge to replace the ferry service used to connect the Delta towns across the Sacramento River.

The schedule is subject to change due to weather, equipment and/or material availability, or other unexpected events.
