Overnight Lane Closures on SR 9/Peachtree Rd on Friday, Sunday, incl 14th St from Northside Dr to Spring St

ATLANTA METRO - Work crews for Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) will continue resurfacing this weekend on State Route 9/ Peachtree Road (SR 9) from SR 3/Northside Drive to Paces Ferry Road and including 14th Street from SR 3/Northside Drive east to Spring Street, north to Peachtree Street/Peachtree Road in the City of Atlanta, Fulton County. The closures will provide safety for workers and drivers as crews prepare for resurfacing to improve the condition of the road.
Weather and on-site conditions permitting, crews will install alternating right or left single lane closures on SR 9/Peachtree Road as follows for milling and paving:
  • Friday, April 17, 7 p.m. until 6 a.m. on Saturday: 14th Street from Northside Drive to Spring Street
  • Sunday, April 19, 9 p.m. until 6 a.m. on Monday: the one-way section of Spring Street and West Peachtree Street
This $4.3 million project is scheduled to be complete in spring 2026.

Exact dates may change due to weather or other extenuating factors. Motorists are advised to expect delays and use signed detours, exercise caution, and reduce their speed while traveling through work zones.
