The Richardson Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association's (RPCAAA) spring Electronics Recycling and Document Shredding Event will be held on Saturday, May 9 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at The Heights Church, 201 W. Renner Rd. (southwest corner of Renner Road and US 75).
Drop off documents and electronic devices (cell phones, flat screen TVs or monitors, peripherals, etc.) to be recycled or shredded.
There is no charge for dropping off electronics and five boxes or less of paper (banker's box size) however there will be a minimum $5 charge per box more than five boxes. For a complete list of acceptable drop off items, visit www.rcpaaa.org.
Note: Please bring only sensitive documents to be shredded. Papers such as magazines or newspapers can be placed in regular recycling.
Established in 1993, the RCPAAA works to support the RPD with meals, welcoming gift cards to new officers and retiring officers/ employees, equipment, promotional material, and other projects to demonstrate to the RPD employees that the citizens of Richardson have their back. The organization also acts as ambassadors for the RPD to the community, spreading the word about RPD programs designed to elevate the safety of the community and the communication between the community and the RPD.
