LOCAL NEWS | Katelyn Low Named Unit Manager in Houston

We are pleased to announce Katelyn Low has been named Unit Manager of WJE's Houston office, effective November 1, 2025.

Katelyn joined WJE in 2014 as an intern and then as an Associate in 2016. Over the years, she has developed deep expertise in the assessment, analysis, and design of repairs for concrete, steel, and wood structures. She is also a recognized mentor, team player, and project leader.

A Senior Associate structural engineer, Katelyn recently transferred from WJE's Austin office to Houston to assume her new role. Her move follows Justin Boone's transition from Houston Unit Manager to full-time project manager, where he will continue to guide and support initiatives that advance WJE's building science practice to meet clients' increasing demands for high-performance buildings.

Justin, a Principal architect, joined WJE in 2010. His technical expertise includes the design of high-performance building enclosure systems, building enclosure commissioning, and forensic analysis of enclosure-related deficiencies in existing buildings. He currently serves as vice chair of the board of directors for the National Institute of Building Sciences. In recent years, Justin has played a key role in establishing WJE's expertise in whole-building air pressurization testing.
