Escambia County Seeking Public Input on Bayou Marcus Basin Study

Escambia County is seeking public input on an ongoing stormwater study for the Bayou Marcus Basin, with opportunities to provide input via an online survey and at several upcoming public workshops.

The survey is available online through Thursday, Oct. 15 at myescambia.com/bayoumarcus.

The survey aims to help identify drainage issues, physical damage, and other impacts associated with rainfall events in the study area.

Additionally, the public is invited to engage with Escambia County project consultants at several upcoming public workshops at the Lexington Terrace Community Center, located at 700 S. Old Corry Field Road. One or more Escambia County Commissioners may be in attendance.

Bayou Marcus Basin Study Public Workshops
  • Monday, Sept. 28 from 4-7 p.m.
  • Tuesday, Sept. 29 from 4-7 p.m.
  • Wednesday, Sept. 30 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The workshops will provide an opportunity for area residents to review maps, ask questions, discuss concerns and share input on the Bayou Marcus Basin Study. All interested residents are invited and encouraged to attend and provide valuable feedback.
