2 March 2026, Chișinău - From 3 to 5 March, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Moldova, Mihai Popșoi, will pay a working visit to Hamburg and Berlin, Federal Republic of Germany, at the invitation of Germany's Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs, Johann Wadephul.
In Hamburg, Minister Mihai Popșoi will take part in the inauguration ceremony of the Office of the Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Moldova, which will help strengthen Moldova's presence in northern Germany and support Moldovan citizens in the region. The agenda includes meetings with the First Mayor of Hamburg, Peter Tschentscher, with the leadership of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, as well as with representatives of the academic community.
In Berlin, on 5 March, Mihai Popșoi will meet with his German counterpart, Johann Wadephul, at the Federal Foreign Office, followed by a joint press conference scheduled for 11:15.
The head of Moldovan diplomacy will also hold discussions with federal government officials and members of the Bundestag, including the Chair of the Parliamentary Committee on European Affairs, Anton Hofreiter; the Chair of the Parliamentary Committee on Foreign Affairs, Armin Laschet; the Chair of the German-Moldovan Parliamentary Forum, Johannes Schraps; as well as the Federal Chancellor's Foreign and Security Policy Adviser, Gunther Sautter. The programme also includes discussions at the Federal Foreign Office, meetings with representatives of Germany's business and analytical communities, and participation in the conference "EU Enlargement - Perspectives for the Republic of Moldova."
On 6 March, Deputy Prime Minister Mihai Popșoi will pay a working visit to Baku, Republic of Azerbaijan, at the invitation of his Azerbaijani counterpart, Jeyhun Bayramov. During the visit, the head of Moldovan diplomacy will meet with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, followed by joint press statements starting at 10:50.
The programme also includes meetings with the Speaker of Parliament (Milli Majlis), Sahiba Gafarova, as well as with the First Deputy Minister of Economy, Elnur Aliyev, and representatives of the energy company SOCAR. The Minister will also lay flowers at the Alley of Honour and at the grave of national leader Heydar Aliyev.
