City-Parish to Hold Spring 2025 Household Hazardous Materials Collection Day on April 5

BATON ROUGE, LA - Monday, March 24, 2025 - Mayor-President Sid Edwards announced today thatEast Baton Rouge Parish residents will have an opportunity to safely dispose of their household hazardous materials during the City-Parish's upcoming Spring 2025 Household Hazardous Materials Collection Day, scheduled for Saturday, April 5, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The event will take place at LSU's Touchdown Village Parking Lot, located on South Quad Drive, across from Engineering Lane. Residents are asked to enter the lot on S. Quad Dr. from Nicholson Dr. and stay in their vehicles while City-Parish crews handle the collection process.

"This event is a great opportunity for residents to properly dispose of the hazardous materials they may have at home," said Mayor Edwards. "Proper disposal prevents harmful substances from entering our environment, protects our local waterways, and ensures a safer living space for our families and neighbors. I encourage everyone to take advantage of this free, convenient service and do their part in maintaining a cleaner and healthier Baton Rouge."

Participation is limited to East Baton Rouge Parish residents with valid identification. Commercial waste will not be accepted.
